We strive to share our knowledge and educate women to help them build clarity and confidence around financial decisions in all stages of life. We want to create a community of women who will continue to inspire and empower other women to do the same.
Leading Ladies Vancouver is led by Laura Chanin, Laura MacCormack and Sayo Nickerson. We are all passionate about guiding women to financial success through education. We are professional advisors in the real estate and finance world and believe that this segment of the market is underserved. Women are great decision makers and good providers – for ourselves and others – we just need to build the knowledge and confidence to make those decisions for ourselves. And the great news is: your current financial situation does not matter!
Our Motivation to do the Leading Ladies Seminars
We are all passionate about helping people and want to guide women to financial success. Each meeting will provide new and exciting tools, knowledge, and advice for everyone who attends in a safe and non-judgmental space.
We are advisors in the real estate and finance world and feel that this segment of the market is underserved. Women are great decision makers and good providers – for ourselves and others – we just need to build the knowledge and confidence to make those decisions for ourselves. At Leading Ladies we believe that confidence is achieved through education and we are here to educate you in all things money related. Women can have a negative / non-powerful relationship with money, and we are here to show you that money matters are completely within your understanding and grasp.
We feel fortunate to have been mentored and taught the basics of finance through which we have gained the confidence to make our own successful financial decisions. We want to share this with all women and educate and mentor in return.
Who Are the Leading Ladies?
Laura MacCormack
Laura is a Vancouver based licensed Mortgage Broker with Verico Vivid Mortgage Inc. She is dedicated to providing personalized services to meet each individual clients’ needs. Laura is determined and passionate about helping her clients save time and money while educating them about the overall mortgage process. Laura helps all types of borrowers get residential mortgage loans; the self-employed, those with a less than perfect credit, or people requiring alternative lending options. Laura even provides her clients with overall budgeting tips, plans for rebuilding their credit scores, as well as tips on how to pay down their mortgages faster. www.cleverlending.com
Laura Chanin
Since she was a young girl, Laura has loved working with numbers. Her preference for math eventually led to a career in financial services. Laura earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree at UBC in 1987 and her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) designation in 2003. She thrives on teaching and started out teaching tax preparation in 1998. Up until 2011 she shared her expertise within the Vancouver financial community as a CFP® Designation course instructor. Laura truly enjoys helping people build and protect their wealth. She successfully manages her CFP® practice while enjoying life as a busy wife and mom. Laura lives with her husband, Rob, and their daughters, Rachel and Leah, in South Surrey/White Rock. Sayo Nickerson
Sayo has been working in the Vancouver real estate market since 2001 helping hundreds of families buy and sell homes. She is the leader of Team Nickerson at Re/Max Real Estate Services; one of the top-producing real estate teams in Greater Vancouver. Having always viewed herself primarily as a real estate advisor, Sayo has recently started devoting a lot of her time to educating her clients about real estate investing which is a great passion of hers. An avid investor herself with over 20 investment properties, Sayo’s goal is to have everyone she knows own at least one investment property to put them well on their way to financial freedom. www.teamnickerson.com
