Living Paycheque to Paycheque? An Interesting Option…

Do you feel you are living paycheque to paycheque and struggling just to make ends meet?  Vancouver was recently ranked as the world’s second most unaffordable city to live in according to Demographia’s yearly International Housing Affordability Survey. Trying to save money to build your financial future can seem nearly impossible while living in Vancouver.

There is an interesting option that many people fail to consider because Vancouver is well, just so awesome, but if you are flexible, not too tied to Vancouver, and are wanting to make some serious contributions to your net worth, you may want to consider moving away. What?! And leave Vancouver you say?  Well, all I am saying, is just try it on for a bit.  Would it be worth it to you to move somewhere where the pay is twice as high as in Vancouver, the unemployment rate is near zero, and where over the next couple of years, you could potentially save tens of thousands of dollars?

All I am saying is that you may want to read this report:  http://www.bcbusiness.ca/careers/best-cities-for-work-in-bc

You could go on an adventure for a few years and come back with enough money to buy a home in Vancouver or start a business! What a great foundation for building long term wealth.  It may seem scary and out of the question at first but that’s how I felt when I contemplated travelling outside of North America for the first time in my early 20’s.  Of course that experience is a part of me now and it also set me up nicely for the life that was to come.  I’m so glad I took the plunge and maybe you will be too!
